The Ultimate Guide to Yoni Eggs: Benefits, Uses & Choosing the Right One

Yoni eggs are gaining attention in holistic wellness, but misinformation often creates confusion. Whether you're new or curious about their benefits, this guide covers everything you need to know—how they work, their benefits, and safe usage.

What Are Yoni Eggs?

Yoni eggs are smooth, egg-shaped stones traditionally used in Taoist practices to support pelvic floor health. Made from natural crystals like jade, rose quartz, and obsidian, they are gently inserted into the vagina to enhance strength and well-being. A GIA-Certified Yoni Egg ensures authenticity and energetic purity, with each stone carrying unique healing properties.

The word “yoni” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “sacred space” or “womb.” Used for thousands of years, especially in ancient China, yoni eggs promote pelvic strength, intimacy, and overall vitality.

Benefits of Using Yoni Eggs

  • Pelvic Floor Strengthening: Regular use of a yoni egg helps tone the pelvic muscles, which improves bladder control, enhances sexual pleasure, reduces vaginal numbness, and supports postpartum recovery.

  • Emotional Healing: Creating feelings of being more connected to your body and emotions after using yoni eggs as an act of self-care

  • Increased Sensuality: Yoni eggs can help you become more aware of your body and its energy, often leading to heightened sensitivity and a deeper sense of sensuality.

  • Spiritual Growth: As a symbol of feminine energy, yoni eggs are used to activate the sacral chakra, which is associated with creativity, passion, and emotional expression.

How to Use Yoni Eggs

Using a yoni egg is a simple yet powerful practice. Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started:

1. Choose Your Egg: Choose a yoni egg from a GIA Certified supplier such as Yoni Pleasure Palace Australia (Disclaimer: I may earn a commission from your purchase, but rest assured, this does not affect the price you pay.)

For most, it's best to start with a medium-sized egg in a crystal of your choice, make sure you order it drilled with a hole and string.

2. Prepare Your Egg: Before inserting the egg, clean it thoroughly with warm water and mild soap, preferably free of nasties. DO NOT BOIL THE EGG, this can cause damage and injury.

Once clean, tie the string to the egg using the drilled hole.

3. Relax: Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can fully relax. Play this Oh what it is to be WOMAN Playlist

Lay on your back, spread your legs wide, and prop them up with plump pillows to save your legs from straining.

Bring your awareness to your breath (trying, but not too hard, to make it equal in length on the inhale and exhale) as you gently stroke your whole body, rotating your hips and focussing on the sensations as they arise throughout your whole body.

Invite sound into your atmosphere, hear yourself breathing and when you feel comfortable let out a moan to ignite more eros. Let yourself be wild and untamed, or at least try!

4. Inserting the Egg: When you are wet (If you're not wet, use water-based lube or spit) Gently / calmly wait for her to say yes,  suction the egg in using the muscles on the entrance or gently push the egg into your vagina while holding onto the string. Let the egg rest inside for a moment or more.

5. Releasing / Contracting muscles - inhale/exhale with the Egg: Within your mind's eye, divide your vagina in half. Visualise & observe & feel the vaginal walls on the right side, then the left. Now, breathe into each side alternating individually, on the exhale contract while pulling the string, and on the inhale release. With every exhale contracting and every inhale releasing your pelvic muscles. You can also meditate or simply relax, focusing on your breath and the sensations of the egg inside you, although try not to keep the egg inside for longer than necessary, you feel for you.

15 Reps on both sides:

Inhale/release for 3 seconds

Exhale contract while pulling the string for 3 seconds

Repeat 15 cycles of breath on the left side

Repeat 15 cycles of breath on the right side

6. Removing the Egg: After 15 to 30 minutes of doing the exercises, bare down as though your pushing out a baby, and dahdudadaaah the egg is reborn. Do not fear, the egg will most probably not get lost, it's an easy push. You can also use the string attached to the egg to guide it out but don't be surprised when the string breaks because she’s strong! That’s when the fun begins.

Remove the egg and pause the exercise if you notice any cramping in the vaginal muscles.

7. Cleaning and Storing: After each use, clean the egg thoroughly with clean water and store it in a safe place (Super soft and cushioned place that comes with a purchase from Yoni Pleasure Palace, just saying), such as a pouch or box, to protect its integrity. And you can order a hand-sculpted Vulva Yoni Egg Holder by yours truly for $44, (50% off).
